About Me
Welcome! My name is Lisa, and I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, and hypnotherapist. I am a qualified Person-Centred and Cognitive-Behavioural therapist and have substantial continued professional development in many areas, such as understanding relationship dynamics and abuse.
With a foundation in person-centred therapy (PCT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), I offer a flexible, integrated approach that I can tailor to meet each client's individual needs. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or long-standing challenges, I am here to help you find clarity and balance in your life.
In my work, I combine the empathy and non-judgmental nature of PCT with practical tools from CBT to help you manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that may be holding you back. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your concerns at your own pace while benefiting from structured, solution-focused interventions if that is what you want.
I am passionate about my work and helping people achieve lasting change and personal growth. Over my years of practice, I have worked with many clients with various personal issues. Whether you're seeking short-term assistance or longer-term support, I am here to listen and walk alongside you while we work together to make a positive change in your life.

Anxiety is a common issue that many people experience, often manifesting as persistent worry, fear, or a sense of unease that can interfere with daily life. It can present in various forms, such as generalised anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, specific phobias or even intrusive thoughts.
Relationships are a central part of our lives but can often be a significant source of conflict, frustration or emotional pain. Relationship issues can affect your overall happiness and well-being, whether you're struggling with communication, trust or intimacy. It may feel difficult to navigate these challenges alone, and you might be unsure how to move forward.
Depression can affect anyone, often creating feelings of deep sadness, hopelessness, or a lack of motivation that lasts for weeks, months, or even longer. It may impact daily activities, relationships, work, and self-esteem, making it difficult for yo to enjoy life as you once did.
Grief is a deeply personal experience that can arise after the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job or a significant life change such as navigating an illness. It may involve feelings of sadness, anger, guilt or numbness, and the grieving process is different for everyone. There is no right or wrong way to feel within this grieving process.
Stress is a natural part of life, but it can take a toll on mental and physical well-being when it becomes overwhelming. Whether caused by work pressures, personal relationships, or life changes, chronic stress can lead to burnout, anxiety and even physical symptoms like headaches or fatigue.
Childhood trauma and sexual abuse can leave deep emotional scars that affect many aspects of life, from self-esteem to relationships. The impact of these experiences may manifest as anxiety, depression, or difficulty trusting others. They can also manifest in deep-rooted negative self-beliefs, such as "I'm not good enough", resulting from those negative past experiences.
Menopause and perimenopause is a natural part of life, but the physical and emotional changes it brings can be challenging to navigate. Fluctuating hormones can lead to symptoms like hot flashes/flushes, mood swings, and difficultly concentrating, which may affect your work, relationships and self-esteem. Many women feel misunderstood or unsupported during this life change.
